Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 until Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet community that is located on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. Many people who don't know about the place mistakenly think that it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually this is not the case. West Island includes everything westward from the city of Lachine. Amanda Brugel was born there, but her time there was short. Brugel was a woman of a certain age within Courtice Ontario, outside Oshawa. The first goal she had was to be a dancer but an increase in her height resulted in her outgrowing her dance partners. In an article in The Toronto Star she admitted In heels I'm 6 feet 1 inch. Once I surpassed all my male partners, I stopped. Many dancers make the transition into acting. For Bruce, it was her drama instructor who pushed her to go in this direction. She was encouraged to take part in an audition in a school production. She was the teacher who suggested that she go after a role in the school's annual production. This led to a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and earned an Associate in Fine Arts degree in 2000. Over the past 20 years since Brugel has landed roles on over 60 shows on both small and large screens drawing the most media attention after she was offered the character as Rita in the award-winning show The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel was the character the character of Rita on The Handmaid's tale which was filming over 10 years ago.
